Cincinnati hasn’t had much recent luck on the road in the battle of Ohio
The Cleveland Browns desperately need a win, and if history repeats itself, they might have one on their hands in Week 7 as the Bengals come to town. Cincinnati has been disappointing on the road in the battle of Ohio, having not won in Cleveland since 2017.
While it is difficult to win on the road in general, taking down a divisional foe is even more challenging. However, if there’s ever a time to defeat Cleveland, it is this season, as the Browns are 1-5 through six weeks.
Cleveland and Cincinnati have played 101 times, with the Bengals coming out on top in 53 of those. The Bengals were beaten the last time they visited Cleveland, though. The Browns won 24-3. Cleveland has won two straight home games against the Bengals by 19 or more points.
While not all their wins since 2017 were decisive, they have consistently won at home.
The Bengals are turning the corner this season though, coming off a Week 6 win over the New York Giants on Sunday Night Football, and are arguably just a few changed plays from being a 5-1 team; however, they sit 2-4 heading into this Week 7 matchup, while the Browns just traded away Amari Cooper.
