“YOU GET A WIDE RECEIVER! AND YOU GET A WIDE RECEIVER! AND YOU GET A WIDE RECEIVER!” – Oprah, probably

If you weren’t impressed by the New York Jets trade for star wide receiver Davante Adams, maybe this trade by the AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills is more your style. According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Cleveland Browns have agreed to trade veteran wide receiver Amari Cooper to the Bills in exchange for draft capital.

(The Official Draft Capital is a 2025 sixth-round pick and Amari Cooper to the Buffalo Bills for a 2025 third and a 2026 seventh-round draft pick)

Cooper, 30, was a former first-round pick of the Oakland Raiders in the 2015 NFL Draft (4th Overall) and has played all over the NFL throughout his 10-year career. After being traded to the Dallas Cowboys in exchange for a first-round pick in 2019, the Miami native was traded to the Browns for a fifth-round pick and an exchange of sixth-round picks in 2022. Now, he will land in Buffalo with Josh Allen at the helm.

During his 10-year career, Cooper has 691 receptions for 9,736 yards and 62 touchdowns. Last season with the Browns, Cooper appeared in 15 games, catching 72 balls for 1,250 yards and five touchdowns. It was his sixth career 1,000-yard season. Not a bad get for a team that shipped No.1 wide receiver Stefon Diggs to Houston in the offseason.

As for your Dolphins, I wouldn’t put it past general manager Chris Grier to make a move in the coming days for a player that could help bolster the roster. In the perfect world, the Jets would be so fed up with guys like Mike Williams and — more importantly — Haasan Reddick that they’d use Drew Rosenhaus to get a deal done. Or maybe Grier is finally ready to concede that the offensive line may need help. #Don’THoldYourBreath

Whatever it may be, the next few weeks will be very interesting for the Miami Dolphins and the other 31 teams around the NFL as the realization of where teams stand amongst their peers becomes clearer.

What are your thoughts on the New York Jets trade for Davante Adams? How do you feel about Amari Cooper being shipped to the Cleveland Browns? Do you think either move completely shifts the landscape of the AFC East? Let us know in the comments section below!
