Whether the Rams will have Cooper Kupp or not in Week 7 could be determined on Monday
Will the L.A. Rams get back star receiver Cooper Kupp in Week 7 against the Las Vegas Raiders? Head coach Sean McVay won’t tell you that, but he did say that Monday was a “big day” for Kupp in terms of whether or not he will actually return in Week 7. McVay says that he will be able to give a better update on Wednesday, after the team gets more information on how far Kupp has come from his ankle injury.
“Today will be a big day for guys like Cooper Kupp,” McVay said. “We’ll see how he’s doing. He’s making good progress. I’ll have an injury update [Wednesday] in regards to how today goes for him.
“There is a possibility he could be ready this week. There’s also a possibility that he might not be ready.”
The Rams are leaning heavier on Jordan Whittington, Tutu Atwell, and Demarcus Robinson than they ever hoped they’d need to for the first two months of the season. Puka Nacua is also on injured reserve, with no clear return date in sight.
