The Bengals are favored against the Browns in a fight to stay out of the cellar.
The Cincinnati Bengals, trusty shovel in hand, have taken the first steps out of the hole they dug for themselves early in the season by defeating the Giants on the road on Sunday Night Football by a score of 17-7.
Now, according to FanDuel, they’re a 4.5-point favorite in Week 7 when they travel to Cleveland to face the Browns in a fight to stay out of the AFC North’s cellar.
The Bengals, now at 2-4, are just a game ahead of the Browns, who lost their fourth consecutive game on Sunday on the road against the Eagles. Furthering that gap between the two Ohio teams is a must, as losing a fifth game this early in the season and a second division game would likely drive a stake through the heart of the team’s playoff hopes.
The Browns offense has struggled throughout the season, but until their coming-out game against the Giants, the Bengals defense hasn’t been anything to write home about. The Browns defense has kept their team within one score in three of their five losses, and the Bengals offense will need to have a bounce-back game after an ugly performance in New York.
What do you think about the 4.5-point spread?
