Here’s everything you need to know about the Eagles’ Week 6 home game.
The Philadelphia Eagles are finally back at home in Week 6, fresh off a bye, and ready — and healthy — to take on the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 PM ET.
When the 2024 schedule was revealed, a Week 5 bye seemed almost like a waste so early in the season, but it turned out to be just what the doctor ordered. Heading into this game, the Eagles have a clean injury report, and get back A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Lane Johnson, among many others.
Not having their playmakers certainly shouldn’t be an excuse, but it was absolutely a factor in how the Eagles offense struggled heading into the bye. They still have Saquon Barkley, and an offensive line full of Pro Bowlers though, so things shouldn’t have been as bad as they were. It won’t take long to see if the return of so many critical pieces can instantly fix slow starts, red zone deficiencies, and turnovers, or if there may still be some lingering systemic issues.
Despite how it’s felt to watch the last two Eagles game, and being painfully aware of how disappointing things can get, I am still excited to watch this team take the field against the Browns. It could end up being even more embarrassing than what we’ve already seen, but it could also be really fun with a talented team finally living up to their potential. It has to happen eventually. Right?
A win is a win, but right now, the Eagles also need style points. They need to feel this game, and find an energy they can sustain to build momentum. They really need to not lose to the Browns. I’ll take a win, but I really want the Eagles offense to find consistent ways to score and for the defense to pummel Deshaun Watson nearly every snap.
Here’s everything you need to know about how to watch the game.

History Lesson
The Browns have a huge lead in the all-time series between these teams, 32-17-1, but the Eagles have won five of their six most-recent meetings. They last faced off back in 2020 and Cleveland won at home, 22-17 — it was the last season in Philly for DC Jim Schwartz, and Jalen Hurts took just a single snap the whole game.
