Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 10/11/24
The Los Angeles Rams are on bye week for Week 6 of the NFL season and it got me thinking, what other games might Rams’ fans want to pay attention to this week? We obviously have a big Thursday Night Football matchup between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks (that game should be played out by the time you read this). I’d guess plenty of Rams’ fans will tune into that one, but are there any other games?
Maybe you have a second favorite team, or a AFC team, or perhaps a college player you still watch or maybe you have fantasy football to pay attention to? What NFL games will you watching this weekend while LA is on break?
Thank you for all the interactions with the Random Ramsdoms. I try to write them and put them together, but the fans, readers and commenters make them work! Thank you!
Please comment on whatever you want and have a fun Friday! Thanks for checking out Turf Show Times!
Week 6 is bye week for the Los Angeles Rams. What other matchups should Rams fans watch to keep up with the NFL this week? (lastwordonsports)
“An NFC West Thursday Night Football matchup that you were probably watching anyway, the 49ers vs. Seahawks, is crucial for a Rams fan. Both teams have high-powered offenses and electric defenses, with plenty of star-studded names to boot. The most interesting duel will be between the head coaches.
49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan remains one of the sharpest offensive minds in the NFL. Despite losing 2023 Offensive Player of the Year Christian McCaffrey for an unknown period, his backup Jordan Mason is second in the league with 536 rushing yards. This is a testament to Shanahan’s ability to design a scheme where any player can come in and be productive. Shanahan is also the godfather to many modern offensive coaches, including the Packers’ Matt LaFleur and the Rams’ very own Sean McVay.”

Raiders and Rams predicted to make a trade involving offensive lineman (sportingnews)
“Outside of Maxx Crosby and promising young players under contract after this season, Telesco should be trading away anything that isn’t nailed down.
One player who could be moved is veteran offensive lineman Cody Whitehair, who the Raiders signed as an insurance policy at guard. CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin sees Whitehair getting shipped out to the Los Angeles Rams.”

CBS Tops NFL Week 5 With Packers-Rams As Most Games See Year-Over-Year Audience Declines (deadline)
“CBS came out on top in Week 5 of the NFL regular season, with 20.27M viewers tuning in during Sunday’s national window, which broadcast Packers-Rams in a majority of markets.
This is the second consecutive week that CBS has led the pack, but they still won’t be touting the win, since Paramount and Nielsen are still entangled in a contract dispute that has left the current contract expired. That means Paramount properties aren’t technically using Nielsen data to measure any of their content.”
