Thoughts on AOC replacing Gardner Minshew as Raiders’ starter?
Well, here we are again.
The Las Vegas Raiders are experiencing flux at quarterback for the second straight season after they moved away from the nine-year Derek Carr era.
Wednesday, Las Vegas coach Antonio Pierce announced that Aidan O’Connell will replace Gardner Minshew as the starting quarterback, beginning Sunday when the Raiders host the Pittsburgh Steelers at Allegiant Stadium (kickoff is set for 1:05 p.m. PT).
O’Connell, who started 10 games for the Raiders as a rookie last season, was the backup for the first five games this season after losing a training camp competition with Minshew, who signed with Las Vegas as a free agent this offseason.
O’Connell twice replaced Minshew this season in the second half of big losses. Now, he gets his chance to be the starter again.
