100% accurate ranking of all 32 teams.
Now that Week 5 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books, it’s time for an incredibly meaningful and serious exercise: NFL Power Rankings! What differentiates these rankings from all the others is that they’re THE only truly accurate ones in the entire universe. We use a proprietary system that heavily accounts for vibes. Let’s take a look at how all 32 teams stack up.
BLG’S WEEK 6 NFL POWER RANKINGS
1 – Kansas City Chiefs (Last Week: 1) – I wrote the following ahead of Week 1: “Patrick Mahomes is inevitable. I genuinely believe the Chiefs are going to threepeat as Super Bowl champions. It’s very hard to do, yeah, but if there’s anyone who could … it’s him.” Nothing since has moved me off this stance. It’s not fun to say or admit but I do feel like this season is actually just a big waste of time for non-Chiefs fans because they’re going to be team lifting the Vince Lombardi Trophy yet again.
2 – Detroit Lions (LW: 2) – The Lions return from their bye to take on the Cowboys in a revenge game from when Detroit got screwed late last year. You can bet Dan Campbell’s going to have his players juiced for this one. Bet the Lions, who will be out to make a statement.
3 – Minnesota Vikings (LW: 3) – Just like everyone expected, the Vikings are entering their bye 5-0. It’ll be very interesting to see how they fare against Detroit when they return to action.
4 – Houston Texans (LW: 4) – The Texans, who have a -12 point differential, should be kept on fraud watch. But two straight wins, including one over Buffalo, isn’t bad.
5 – Baltimore Ravens (LW: 5) – Regular season Lamar Jackson continues to be a force to be reckoned with.
6 – Buffalo Bills (LW: 6) – The Bills have lost two in a row but they were to the two teams directly ahead of them in these rankings. And they were road losses. Bet on Josh Allen and the Bills to bounce back.
7 – Washington Commanders (LW: 7) – Jayden Daniels arguably played his worst game and yet the Commanders still scored 34 points. Washington looks like the new top dog in the NFC East.
8 – Green Bay Packers (LW: 8) – The Packers are actually last in the NFC North standings right now at 3-2 but Jordan Love will get better as he gets healthier.
9 – Atlanta Falcons (LW: 15) – Kirk Cousins is looking a bit more functional than he did in Week 1.
10 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LW: 9) – The Bucs somehow had to punt after getting an interception that gave them 1st-and-10 at the plus 28-yard line with 1:44 remaining. Instead of being able to kick a field goal to go up six, they punted and never touched the ball again in an overtime loss.
11 – San Francisco 49ers (LW: 10) – Such a classic “Super Bowl loser letdown” season going on for the 49ers.
12 – Philadelphia Eagles (LW: 11) – The Birds return from their bye to host a Cleveland team that’s playing their third straight road game. That *should *be a big advantage in the Eagles’ favor. Vic Fangio’s defense *should* be able to stop Deshaun Watson, who’s been awful. Jalen Hurts and the offense *should* bounce back with A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Lane Johnson all expected to return. But what *should* happen doesn’t always manifest into reality for Nick Sirianni’s squad.
13 – New Orleans Saints (LW: 12) – That red hot 2-0 start feels like forever ago after three straight losses. And now Derek Carr is hurt.
14 – Cincinnati Bengals (LW: 18) – You might be wondering why I’m moving the 1-4 Bengals up after losing. The answer: they’re better than their record indicates. Don’t be surprised if they rattle off four straight wins with at NYG, at CLE, vs. PHI, and vs. LVR up next.
On the season, the Bengals offense is 2nd in EPA per drive and 2nd in offensive success rate.
Statistically, this is BY FAR the most efficient offense they’ve ever had with Joe Burrow.
They are 1-4 with 4 one-score losses by a combined 15 points.

15 – Dallas Cowboys (LW: 19) – The Cowboys nearly blew a game-winning drive with a goal line fumble but the bounce worked in their favor. They’ve won two in a row despite being banged up. Staying alive.
16 – Arizona Cardinals (LW: 21) – Credit to Jonathan Gannon (gasp) for actually giving his team an edge (what a concept!). Going for the two-point conversion down 10 points and getting it allowed the Cards to take a late lead with a field goal and then hold on to win the game.
17 – Pittsburgh Steelers (LW: 17) – The Steelers probably have the smallest gap between ceiling and floor. They’re just a solid but unspectacular team.
18 – New York Jets (LW: 13) – Robert Saleh is gone. I’m sure that’ll fix Aaron Rodgers looking cooked.
19 – Seattle Seahawks (LW: 14) – The Seahawks’ first three games were relatively easy. They’ve since gone 0-2 with the schedule getting a bit more difficult.
20 – Los Angeles Chargers (LW: 20) – The Bolts return from their bye to play in Denver. Winner of that battle takes control of second place in the AFC West.
21 – Denver Broncos (LW: 22) – Don’t look now but the Broncos have won three in a row. Bo Nix just played his best game by far. Maybe they’re figuring some things out?
22 – Indianapolis Colts (LW: 16) – Shane Steichen (total genius) is now 0-3 against Doug Pederson (dunce). Pederson is also 2-1 against former Colts HC Frank Reich. Doug owns the coordinators that Eagles fans love so much.
23 – Los Angeles Rams (LW: 23) – The Rams are reasonably competitive but they just don’t have the horses right now.
24 – Chicago Bears (LW: 25) – After a rough start, Caleb Williams has improved over the past two weeks. That’s the good news. The bad news is that the Bears have their work cut out for them playing in the NFL’s toughest division.
25 – New York Giants (LW: 27) – The G-Men overcame a 14-point swing that went against them to win in Seattle. And they did it despite missing leading receiver Malik Nabers and leading rusher Devin Singletary. Not dead yet.
26 – Las Vegas Raiders (LW: 24) – The Raiders benched Gardner Minshew for Aidan O’Connell. Does anyone really care?
27 – Carolina Panthers (LW: 26) – Benching Bryce Young for Andy Dalton did give them a spark for one game. But they’ve gone back to being bad.
28 – Tennessee Titans (LW: 30) – The Titans return from their bye to host the Colts. A win would drop Indy to 0-3 in division games this season. Big opportunity to do significant damage to an AFC South rival.
29 – Miami Dolphins (LW: 31) – The Dolphins have scored the fewest points in the NFL this season with just 60 in five games played. And yet they somehow have two wins.
30 – Cleveland Browns (LW: 28) – Just how bad is Deshaun Watson? He’s a better person than he is a player at this point.
31 – Jacksonville Jaguars (LW: 32) – Doug was in serious jeopardy of being the first head coach fired. At the very least, he won’t be that. With Chicago and New England up next, we’ll see if the Jags have actually turned a corner or not.
32 – New England Patriots (LW: 29) – Four straight losses for the Pats. Drake Maye should be taking over for Jacoby Brissett sooner than later.
