Week 5 in the NFL wraps up with a matchup that features the Raiders’ biggest rivals and the Raiders’ franchise passing leader as the New Orleans Saints take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Derek Carr-led Saints have an opportunity to create a three-way tie at the top of the NFC South standings while Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs look to remain unbeaten.

As much as it pains me to pick Kansas City, it’s hard to argue that the Chiefs aren’t the better team heading into the game and the Saints’ offensive line is beaten up. That spells disaster for Carr as he’ll be without a few interior offensive linemen which will likely lead to a big performance from Chris Jones. Also, New Orleans started the year hot but has fizzled off lately with back-to-back losses in the last two weeks.
For the injury report, the Saints have ruled linebacker Willie Gay Jr. (hand), tight end Tayson Hill (rib), center/guard Cesar Ruiz (knee), center/guard Shane Lemieux (ankle) and defensive end Payton Turner (knee) out. Also, guard/center Lucas Patrick (groin) and linebacker Pete Werner (hamstring) are questionable. Meanwhile, the Chiefs will play their first full game without wide receiver Rashee Rice (knee) as Rice was placed on injured reserve. Among active players, wide receiver Mecole Hardman (knee) is questionable and running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire (illness) is doubtful.
