Week 5 concludes with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the New Orleans Saints on “Monday Night Football.” Come chat with us in our open thread.
The New Orleans Saints and Kansas City Chiefs will close out Week 5 with a battle on “Monday Night Football.” These two teams have met just 12 times in their histories, with the Chiefs holding a 7-5 edge, including winning the last three matchups.
The Saints (2-2) convincingly won their first two games of the 2024 season, smashing the Panthers and Cowboys, but they came back to earth in Weeks 3 and 4, losing to the Eagles and Falcons. The Chiefs (4-0) are perfect on the season so far, beating the Ravens, Bengals, Falcons, and Chargers in consecutive games.
Betting line and pick for the game
No surprises with the betting line this week, as the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook have set the line at Chiefs -5.5 points.
I expect the Chiefs to leave this week with a perfect record but I believe this game will be closer than people think. The Saints have firepower on offense—even though it’s been subdued the previous two weeks—and it will keep them in this game, but the Chiefs can win in several different ways, a trait they’ve needed to rely on this year.
Prediction: Chiefs 24-21
