The Los Angeles Rams have a three point lead going into the third quarter of play
The Los Angeles Rams lead the Green Bay Packers by a score of 13-10 after the first half of play. Green Bay opened up the scoring and had a 7-0 lead after the first quarter, but in the second quarter LA answered with 13 points of their own to take and hold the lead through 30 minutes of play.
The Rams again had some issues scoring in the red zone and even failed to convert on a fourth and goal early in the contest. Had Sean McVay’s team converted then he’d have looked like a genius, but they didn’t and so observers may question the call to go for it instead of taking the easy field goal.
The Packers were able to score first fairly quickly after a deep completion to Jaylen Reed, but LA’s defense kept Green Bay in check otherwise throughout much of the first half. Credit LA’s offense for extending drives and chewing up clock to keep Jordan Love off the field.
With about two minutes to go in the half, Love threw a pick six and LA took the lead, but would then miss the extra point. The score was 13-7 with the Packers having just over two minutes to put up some points up before the first half came to a close.
The Packers would add a field goal as the second quarter came to a close to make the score 13-10 as they still trailed the Rams.
