Which bets do you like the most?
Before the fifth Sunday of the 2024 NFL regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the lines for the Week 5 games.
You can CLICK HERE for straight up NFL picks without regard to the spread. You can find all of the NFL betting lines via FanDuel.
My overall record is 28-35-1, which is well behind the collective BGN community at 35-28-1. I stink.
Here are suggestions when trying to beat the odds.
BALTIMORE RAVENS (-2.5) at CINCINNATI BENGALS: The Ravens look like they’re back. But the Bengals might also be back? You gotta love a home dog. PICK: Bengals +2.5
CAROLINA PANTHERS at CHICAGO BEARS (-4.5): Second straight Andy Dalton revenge game?! Last week’s didn’t go so well, though. I don’t know that the Bears’ offense deserves the benefit of the doubt when it comes to covering this spread. Chicago fails to cover in a win. PICK: Panthers +4.5
MIAMI DOLPHINS (-1.5) at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS: Just don’t know if the Dolphins have any juice left at this point? The Pats have at least shown some moxie. PICK: Patriots +1.5
BUFFALO BILLS at HOUSTON TEXANS (-1.5): Are the Texans actually good? They actually have a -15 point differential, which is the ninth-worst in the NFL. The Bills will bounce back after a disappointing loss. PICK: Bills +1.5
INDIANAPOLIS COLTS at JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS (-3.5): Hard to bet against Joe Flacco (as weird as that sounds) … but this ‘too good to be true’ line is telling you something. And it’s that the Jags will get on the board with their first win. PICK: Jaguars -3.5
CLEVELAND BROWNS at WASHINGTON COMMANDERS (-3): The Commanders’ offense is red hot. Maybe Jim Schwartz can slow Jayden Daniels down … but there should be no faith in Deshaun Watson. PICK: Commanders -3
ARIZONA CARDINALS at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (-7.5): The Cardinals’ defense is pitiful. Hm. Interesting. PICK: 49ers -7.5
LAS VEGAS RAIDERS at DENVER BRONCOS (-3): The Raiders’ vibes don’t feel great with the Davante Adams situation lingering over them. But can I trust the Broncos’ offense to score enough to cover? PICK: Raiders +3
GREEN BAY PACKERS (-3) at LOS ANGELES RAMS: The Rams fight. But they don’t have the horses. PICK: Packers -3
NEW YORK GIANTS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (-7): Unfortunate rest disadvantage here for the Seahawks coming off a Monday game and playing a team coming off a Thursday game. But the Giants are both bad and injured, so, it shouldn’t matter. PICK: Seahawks -7
DALLAS COWBOYS at PITTSBURGH STEELERS (-2.5): Never not going to fade Justin Fields. PICK: Cowboys +2.5
NEW ORLEANS SAINTS at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (-5.5): The Chiefs often don’t win pretty … but they do win. PICK: Chiefs -5.5
