Let’s do this, folks!
We are just about ready to kick things off in the first game of the NFL’s International Series for 2024 as our Minnesota Vikings prepare to host the New York Jets at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. Here’s everything you need to know ahead of today’s kickoff.
Date and Time: Sunday, 6 October 2024, 8:30 AM Central time
Location: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, London, England
Television Coverage: KARE-11 in the Twin Cities, NFL Network
Radio Coverage: Vikings Radio Network, SiriusXM Channel 228 (Vikings feed), SiriusXM App Channel 820
Line: Vikings -2.5, Over/Under 40.5
Chris’ Prediction: Vikings 27, Jets 17
Three Keys
1) Get in Aaron Rodgers’ face – Yes, the Vikings get to face their old nemesis once again, as this will be Rodgers’ 31st game against Minnesota. Rodgers has been dealing with a knee injury and, quite frankly, just hasn’t been the quarterback he used to be in the early going this season. Brian Flores should be able to get some pressure cooked up against the Jets’ offensive line and hopefully make Rodgers even more uncomfortable.
2) Start fast – You’ve probably seen the stat by now that shows that the Vikings have only trailed for about three and a half minutes so far this season. The Jets have struggled offensively, and if the Vikings can get out to a fast start they could have the Jets in disarray early on. If they get out to a lead, though, we can’t see what we saw in the second half in Green Bay last week.
3) Take care of the football – The Vikings had three turnovers last week against Green Bay, but still won the turnover battle, making them 21-0 in the Kevin O’Connell era in the regular season if they win or tie the turnover battle. That’s a pretty simple equation for the Vikings, and if they do the same thing today they should be able to push that number to 22-0.

That’s everything you need to know heading into today’s matchup, folks. As always, we’ll have a new Discussion Thread dropping at the start of each quarter, so keep an eye out for those and keep the conversation flowing accordingly.
Here’s hoping that in about three hours or so we’ll all be here talking about how great it is to get to the bye week at 5-0 with the return of T.J. Hockenson on the horizon.
SKOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL VIKINGS!!!!
