How are we feeling Colts fans ahead of the Week 5 road matchup against the winless Jacksonville Jaguars?
The Indianapolis Colts (2-2) travel to Duval County to take on the winless Jacksonville Jaguars (0-4). While you’d ordinarily feel pretty good about the traveling team’s chances, the Colts haven’t won in Jacksonville since 2014, when Andrew Luck was still quarterback.
That hasn’t deterred roughly half of ‘Horseshoe Nation’; however, as nearly a coin flip of Colts fans (exactly 51%) believe that Indianapolis will keep their current win streak alive:
We know the man pictured, star workhorse Jonathan Taylor (ankle), will not play this Sunday because of a high-ankle sprain—as he’s already been ruled out against Jacksonville.
Joining him on this week’s inactive list so far are veteran cornerback Kenny Moore II (hip) and defensive end Kwity Paye (quad).
One of the biggest questions is whether the 2nd-year starter pictured below, Anthony Richardson, will start for his annual road homecoming—as a Gainesville, Florida, native. Richardson is currently nursing a hip/oblique injury after taking a shot on a 14-yard run during last Sunday’s upset home win against the then undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers.
Still, 59% of Colts fans believe that Richardson will start this one—who’s been a limited practice participant all week and is officially listed as ‘questionable’—being ‘day-to-day’:
In Richardson’s absence, longtime NFL veteran (and former Super Bowl MVP) Joe Flacco would start for the Colts—who played very well in relief of the injured young quarterback last week during his official Indy debut.
Following their aforementioned 2-game winning streak, Colts fans are 66% confident that the franchise is headed in the right direction, which is well up from their 48% last week:
