Good news for the Vikings
The final injury report ahead of Sunday’s matchup in London between the Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets is up and it’s good news for the Vikings.
Minnesota Vikings
All Vikings’ players but recently activated T.J. Hockenson were full participants in practice Friday in Watford, England and both Harrison Smith and Stephon Gilmore who had veteran rest days. Hockenson was listed as limited and is out for Sunday’s game as expected. There are no other injury designations for the Vikings for Sunday’s game.
New York Jets
As previously mentioned, Jets starting right tackle Morgan Moses has already been ruled out for the Jets.
Beyond that, a couple surprises on this last injury report with some negative injury designations:
- LB C.J. Mosley, toe, limited – doubtful
- DT Leki Fotu, hamstring, limited – doubtful
Both Mosley and Fotu looked on track to play on Sunday, but apparently Mosley’s toe injury is lingering and his doubtful designation means he’ll likely won’t play on Sunday. That means former Viking Chazz Surratt will see the field in his stead in base defense.
Fotu had been a full participant in previous practices, but was downgraded to limited on Friday and is now unlikely to play on Sunday as well. He must have suffered a complication with his hamstring injury.
The good news for the Jets is that RG Alijah Vera-Tucker, who showed up on the injury report yesterday, was a full participant and will play Sunday. Aaron Rodgers and Tyron Smith, both of whom were on the injury report this week, will also play and will not have any injury designations.
Bottom line for the Jets is that only three players have injury designations for Sunday’s game: Morgan Moses being out, and Mosley and Fotu being doubtful to play Sunday.
