Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 10/3/24
The Los Angeles Rams have had a number of injuries but this is the NFL and they are not alone. Another team that has had some big injuries is the Kansas City Chiefs who may have lost Rashee Rice for an extended period of time. Still waiting for the final work on that. In the meantime, could KC make a call to the Rams for some wide receiver help?
LA has former Chiefs WR Demarcus Robinson, but they also have Tutu Atwell who I personally just think could fit so well with Patrick Mahomes (then again what receiver wouldn’t?). There is also Peter Schrager who floated the idea of Cooper Kupp going to KC. What do you think? Would a trade between the Rams and KC make any sense?
“Brett Veach has never been scared to pick up the phone… I would call on Cooper Kupp. I would see.”@PSchrags on Kansas City’s WR corps pic.twitter.com/NHKZ9XXLyW

Cooper Kupp to the Chiefs? Peter Schrager says KC should call the Rams (ramswire)
“Schrager isn’t suggesting the Chiefs are going to acquire Kupp or that the Rams would even consider trading him, but with the Rams sitting at 1-3 and Kupp playing on a big contract, he was an obvious pick for Schrager.
“I said this and I got a lot of pushback – it doesn’t come from the Rams guys – but I would call on Cooper Kupp,” Schrager said. “I would see. I would call every team. I would call 31 teams and I would say, ‘All right, your team is not going to the Super Bowl this year. You’re paying this amount of money.’”
“He’s come in with the right attitude since day 1 and it’s showing.”

Rams GM’s wife has bad news for fans tweeting Davante Adams trade demands at her (nypost)
“One person even went as far as to reach out to his wife, Kara Henderson Snead, in hopes of delivering a message to him on X — which included a report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter that said the Raiders informed other teams they would “consider” trading Adams for a package that would include a second-round pick and additional compensation.
“Please forward to Les,” the person wrote, including the report and tagging Kara in the post.”
So let me get this straight… you want the GM’s wife to forward a tweet to him… someone who has chosen not to to have social media… telling him about things that he already knows about… with the undercurrent being that you want to tell him what to do on his job. https://t.co/emznm0yq16

Green Bay Packers vs Los Angeles Rams Prediction, Odds and Picks for Sunday, 10/06/24 (pickwise)
“The hosts enter this game with a 1-3 record, and after pulling off a 27-24 upset against the 49ers in Week 3, they fell to the Bears 24-18 in Chicago. They outgained the Bears in that contest, but Matt Stafford fumbled at their own 13-yard line in the first half which led to a Bears touchdown, and threw an interception on the final drive of the game which sealed their fate. The Rams aren’t a bad team, but the number of injuries they’ve suffered this season is too hard to ignore. WRs Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua will miss another week, and although Stafford has been able to somewhat produce with the help of RB Kyren Williams, I expect Green Bay to fully take away the Rams’ rushing attack, as they rank 11th in the league in rushing yards allowed per game (109.3).”
LA Rams Roster Moves:

• Designated for Return CB Darious Williams

Did the Rams get screwed with the time clock? (By The Path of Most Resistance on Sep 29, 2024)
“Did the Rams get screwed by being the away team? I dont know who controls the play clock but there was some very fishy business towards the end of the game in my humble opinion. Set aside the fact that we wasted a timeout earlier in the game and came out and got sacked from that timeout… sigh… when the Bears were running down the clock at about 2:45, they ran a play a little bit early and the play was ruled dead at about 2:43 which is great! Play clock is 40 seconds, and that means the Bears have to run a play at about 2:03 and the Rams essentially get a free timeout! Poor time clock management by a rookie QB. Well, not so fast! The play was over well before 2:40 and the game clock keeps ticking, however there was about a 2-3 second delay before the play clock was started at 40. How convenient that it started at exactly 2:40 and the Bears were able to run it down to the 2 minute warning without having to run a play. Seriously watch the replay. That 2-3 seconds cost the Rams a timeout or 40 seconds. Getting the ball with 2 minutes is way different than getting it with 1:20. Not to mention the egregious missed call on Staffords hit to the head. I dont know if the Home team is in charge of the play clock but there was most certainly some rigging going on in my honest opinion. Thoughts? Anyone else notice it?”
State of the Union…Defense (By CDNGolfer on Sep 27, 2024)
“Love the armchair GM’s going nuts after 3 weeks! We suck! We can’t stop the run! Shula has to go! Well I haven’t actually seen that one but you know it’s next.
If I had told you in June we’d tie Detroit and beat SF in the first 3 weeks you’d have been ecstatic. If I told you we’d do it with 6 starters on IR or suspended you wouldn’t have believed me. The Arizona game I am completely ignoring. An anomaly caused by dropping 8 starters in 6 quarters. There is no contingency plan for that.
The D was always going to be a work in progress. Shula has been trying different schemes with different players and making adjustments on the fly. BB3 was probably expected to anchor the center. Obviously wasn’t happening and his snaps are disappearing. Did you notice we held SF to 3 points in the 4th? Ya…
Much talk about missing E Jones. In his last two seasons, he averaged 8 tackles per game. His coverage was mediocre at the best of times. Rozeboom and Reeder are both averaging slightly over 8 tackles per game. In pass coverage, percentage of receptions allowed and percentage of missed tackles, Reeder is far ahead of Rozeboom. My adjustment there would be to get Rozeboom fewer snaps.”
