Superstar wide receiver appears confused by social-media move by Raiders coach

NFL Media is reporting that Davante Adams has now told the Las Vegas Raiders he would like to be traded coming off the news that the team is willing to listen to trade talks.

Las Vegas Raiders called last week “trying” after the team several issues on the way to a Week 4 win over the Cleveland Browns.
Despite the win that evened the team’s record to 2-2, there is continued drama hovering over this week as the prepare to play at the Denver Broncos on Sunday and it centers around Pierce and superstar wide receiver Davante Adams.

Tuesday morning, while appearing on his weekly subject on the Up and Adams Show with Kay Adams, Adams expressed confusion over why Pierce liked an Instagram post that suggest the receiver may have played his final game with the team.

Pierce did unlike the post, but Adams expressed surprise that neither Peirce nor anyone from the team’s brass contacted him about it with some sort of explanation. He later said, he hoped he would hear from his coach at some point Tuesday.
While this was percolating, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that the Raiders are now becoming open to the idea of trading Adams and the team is actually reaching out to teams to gauge interest in Adams.

There have been rumors swirling about Adams’ future with the team for more than a year. Teams have reportedly inquired about Adams, who the Raiders traded for in March, 2022, this summer. So, if the Raiders are now open to dealing him before the November 5 deadline, there will likely be a lot of interest from around the league.
The drama around this Pierce-Adams saga may simply be a result of a mistake but the coach. But Adams is clearly miffed about it and the two need to talk.
Add in the report that the Raiders are open to dealing him and this is fluid situation that has potential to escalate quickly.

Meanwhile, Adams is unsure if he will be able to play at Denver. He hurt his hamstring last Thursday and missed the Cleveland game.

He reportedly is week-to-week. So, Adams is at the forefront of the Raiders this week for multiple reasons.
