The 1-3 New York Giants face what appears to be a daunting task this week as they travel to the Pacific Northwest to face the 3-1 Seattle Seahawks in Week 5 of the NFL season.
The Giants are 6.5-point underdogs, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
The one advantage the Giants may have is that they have extended rest heading into the game while the Seahawks will be on a short week. The Giants played Thursday, losing to the Dallas Cowboys, 20-15. Seattle was on the road on Monday night, losing to the Detroit Lions, 42-29.
Seattle, of course, is well known as a raucous environment difficult for visiting teams to deal with.
“The 12s (Seattle fans) are well-known. They’re well-documented. It’s a loud place to play,” said Giants wide receiver Darius Slayton. “They have a good football team. They’ve been a good football team for it feels like, the last two decades, so they’re always competitive. We know it’s going to be a tough challenge, but we’re going to work to go out there and get a win.”
Seattle started the season 3-0, but their victories have been over the Denver Broncos, New England Patriots, and Miami Dolphins without Tua Tagovailoa. Those teams are a combined 4-8.
