The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Green Bay Packers 31-29.
Byron Murphy Jr – Forced Fumble and an Interception in the same game, that’s an automatic nominee for Sunday King. Murphy Jr has been a point of contention for Vikings fans. The first three games he wasn’t the best. He made two massive plays at the end of the game yesterday to make sure this team didn’t blow a 28 point lead. I will forever be grateful we don’t have to hear about that for the next 100 years.
.@byronmurphy accounted for two of the @Vikings four turnovers in today’s Border Battle win.
In addition to an INT and FF, he had 7 tackles and 2 passes defensed – including breaking up a 4th-down deep ball from Love to Bo Melton in the 2nd quarter.

Jordan Addison – 3 catches on 4 targets for 72 yards and 1 TD, 1 run for 7 yards and 1 TD. Addison came back with a bang scoring the first touchdown of the year. He has a knack for scoring in Green Bay. It’s huge to have him open up the offense when the defense blankets Jefferson like they did early.

Shaquill Griffin – Just when the Vikings finally had to punt, Shaq grabs the interception on the following Packer drive. He’s allowed 3 completions through 4 games (37.5% Completion Rate). Griffin has quietly been one of the best CBs in the league to start the season. Flores has to get some credit too. Hard to believe the Vikings are his 4th team in 3 years.
Sam Darnold – It’s the ball placement with Sam Darnold that is so impressive. Every week he puts the ball where it has to be to complete the pass. The improvement he’s shown in Minneapolis is staggering. There still seems to be better momentum in the 1st half than the 2nd, but we’ll nitpick later.
Sam Darnold doesn’t throw passes his receivers can catch, he throws passes his receivers CANT DROP! How the hell did he do this?!
Playing like a top 3 QB right now! #SKOL pic.twitter.com/TX4VuYS9mt

Aaron Jones – 22 carries for 93 yards and 4 catches for 46 yards. Jones didn’t have a massive game and he didn’t get his TD. He did play consistently well, always fights for the last yard and didn’t once complain about throwing play action at the goal line. Jones is a team player that is also a really good individual player. It’s easy to see why he is still loved in Green Bay. He didn’t get his Lambeau Leap during the game, but decided to celebrate with the fans anyways after.
Wanna know what kind of an impact a player can have on a franchise? Watch this. Aaron Jones, special human, special player. And watch until the end! #LambeauLeap @Showtyme_33 pic.twitter.com/Y3vMDsB9OW
