The Rams expect Cooper Kupp to miss another game, per Jay Glazer
Even though the Los Angeles Rams did not put Cooper Kupp on injured reserve, the team doesn’t expect the receiver to return in Week 5 against the Green Bay Packers. For that reason, it’s looking like Week 7’s game against the Raiders following a bye will be the earliest we see Kupp or Puka Nacua.
It’s time for Tutu Atwell to step up again.

Kupp has now missed two games with an ankle injury and will miss a third. Nacua went on IR after Week 1 and is eligible to return from a knee injury in Week 7’s game against the Raiders. If L.A. has Kupp and Nacua available in that game, the Rams offense starts to look normal again. Not just normal, but good; L.A. also has three offensive linemen on IR that they can’t wait to return, including Jonah Jackson.
Atwell has taken advantage of his latest opportunity.
The fourth-year receiver had four catches for 82 yards against the Bears in Week 4. Atwell now has 11 catches for 223 yards this season and he didn’t have any targets in Week 1, so that’s just in the last three games. He also has a huge defensive pass interference penalty to his credit and he has completed a pass as well.
Rookie Jordan Whittington had six catches for 62 yards and was targeted two more times than Atwell. The sixth rounder is up to 112 yards in his debut season and L.A. really needed him more than they had ever hoped they’d need a rookie receiver.
Once the Rams get back Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua, and hopefully that won’t be too late, they could also have found that Tutu Atwell still has the potential to be a great number three option.
