Every week, on the day before the Detroit Lions’ actual game, we take their upcoming matchup to the virtual world of gaming. Live on both Twitch and YouTube, we simulate the upcoming matchup in a game of Madden 25.
Thus far, the results have been their typical wacky selves. In fact, all three Madden simulations have produced the opposite results of the actual games themselves. In most cases, it hasn’t been particularly close. Take a look:
Week 1:
- Madden: 24-20 Rams
- Actual: 26-20 (OT) Lions
Week 2:
- Madden: 31-24 Lions
- Actual: 20-16 Buccaneers
Week 3
- Madden: 42-17 Cardinals
- Actual: 20-13 Lions
Madden has always been particularly inaccurate in predicting Lions outcomes. Last year, we were able to find a modification to the game to make it more accurate, but we’re not going to resort to that quite yet. After all, the Lions are rated 88 overall in the game. They’ll win some of these Madden simulations eventually, right?
Anyway, because the Lions are on Monday night, we’ve moved the Madden simulation to Sunday morning. So instead of watching all of those insufferable NFL pre-game shows, why not start your Football Sunday with our Detroit Lions vs. Seattle Seahawks Madden 25 simulation? We’ll kick things off at 10 a.m. ET over on Twitch and YouTube, and the whole thing runs about 90 minutes. Throughout it all, I’ll provide live commentary and answer any questions you may have.
