The Vikings are up by three scores
They’re heading into the locker room at halftime in Green Bay with your Minnesota Vikings throttling the Green Bay Packers by a score of 28-7.
The Vikings started the second half with the ball in Green Bay territory after a turnover, and they took advantage by getting Jordan Addison into the end zone for the second time today. This time, it was a jet sweep that Addison took around the right side for an 8-yard score and the Vikings were up by three touchdowns at 21-0.

Green Bay put together their best drive of the afternoon, as Love found Romeo Doubs to get to midfield and a pass interference penalty on Josh Metellus put the Packers down near the red zone. After a sack of Love by Pat Jones, the Packers attempted another field goal, this one a 49-yarder, and Brayden Narveson pushed it wide to the right again to give the Vikings excellent field position.
Unfortunately, the Vikings couldn’t take advantage, as they had their first three-and-out of the afternoon, with Ryan Wright’s punt being downed at the 5-yard line. The Vikings then generated another turnover, as Love’s pass was deflected into the hands of Shaq Griffin for the Vikings’ second interception of the afternoon.

Just one play later, after a Minnesota penalty, the Vikings were celebrating another score as Sam Darnold found Justin Jefferson for a 14-yard touchdown and the Vikings were up by a score of 21-0.

The Packers found themselves facing a 4th-and-10 from the Minnesota 34 near the two-minute warning and decided to go for it, with Love’s pass into the end zone being broken up by Byron Murphy for a turnover on downs. The Vikings were forced to punt on the ensuing possession and the Packers took over inside their own 20.
Green Bay then punted it away and disaster struck for the purple. Jalen Nailor was back to return the punt for an injured Brandon Powell and he muffed the punt to give Green Bay the ball at the Minnesota 3-yard line. Green Bay coach Matt LaFleur was then flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty for coming onto the field during play to push the Packers back 15 yards. However, that didn’t stop the Packers from scoring, as Love found Jayden Reed for a 15-yard touchdown pass to make it 28-7 going into the locker room.
The Packers will get the ball first coming out of the locker room as they won the opening coin toss. The Vikings are still winning in convincing fashion by a score of 28-7. Come on in and join us for the third quarter of play!
