Recovering from a knee injury, Chubb is eligible to be activated from PUP, begin practicing
The cowl could be back on the Cleveland Browns version of Batman very soon. For those not familiar with comic book history, “the cowl” is Batman’s mask and helmet combo. For those not familiar with RB Nick Chubb’s history, Batman is often how he portrays himself on social media.
Coming back from a devastating knee injury that required two major surgeries, Chubb had some hope before and during training camp that he would be able to make the initial 53-man roster.
Unfortunately, despite some positive steps, Cleveland made the decision to place Chubb on the Physically Unable to Perform (PUP) list to start the season. Forced to miss at least four games, the Browns will be eligible to have Chubb back practicing this upcoming week and, according to multiple reports, will do just that:
#Browns star RB Nick Chubb is expected to return to practice this week, a significant step in his return from major injury — and a huge lift for his team.

That does not mean that Cleveland will have their starting running back on the field in Week 5 but it opens a 21-day window for the Browns to activate Chubb to their 53-man roster.
Chubb’s agents negotiated a new deal for the star back this offseason which included contract incentives later in the season.
We will keep you up to date on all Chubb and other Browns injury news as it becomes available.
How big of a difference do you think Chubb’s return will make? Which week do you expect Chubb back in a regular season game?
