Meko and Morgan are back on the Pride of Detroit YouTube channel, discussing how the Lions can slow down Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith and company.
In a way, I feel the same way about the Seattle Seahawks as I do about the Detroit Lions’ annual Thanksgiving Day game—we, as in the city of Detroit and fans of the Lions, are due.
If it feels like the Seahawks have been the culprits of many tough afternoons of football, it’s because they have. Our Lions haven’t beaten Seattle since way back on October 28, 2012. Since then, the Lions have dropped six in a row to the team from the Pacific Northwest, and several of those losses have been in gut-wrenching fashion.
However, this is a new season and a new opportunity to get back in the win column. The Seahawks will be traveling to Detroit for a Week 4 matchup at Ford Field. The Lions will be looking to go into their early bye week on a good note, while Seattle will be aiming to remain unbeaten.
Meko and I (Morgan) jump into some tape of Seattle’s high-powered offense and discuss what the Lions can do to slow them down. And as you could have probably guessed, it all starts with the pass rush and how much they can bother Smith when he drops back to pass. Seattle’s receiving corps is one of the best in the NFL, but their offensive line has question marks surrounding it.
