10 things to watch in Giants vs. Cowboys | Giants.com
Daniel Jones is coming off two consecutive games with at least two total touchdowns and no giveaways for the first time in his career. No Giants player in the Super Bowl era has had three consecutive games of at least two touchdown passes and no interceptions. The only player to do so in Giants history was Charlie Conerly in Weeks 10-12 of the 1959 season.

Talk to Giants opponents and there is one player they need to make the focal point of their offensive game plan from the moment they step inside the stadium. That will be the case Thursday night when the Cowboys visit the Giants, who have lost six straight games to Dallas and 13 of their last 14 meetings.
“Dexter is a huge challenge regardless of who you line up with,” Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said.

The individual matchup that intrigues me the most is with Malik Nabers. The rookie is off to a great start. If he lines up against Trevon Diggs, or even Jourdan Lewis, he’ll be against the best the Cowboys have to offer. However, I’m curious to see how much the Giants can get him against rookie fifth-round pick Caelen Carson, who is starting in place of the injured DaRon Bland. Carson had a strong training camp, but he’s had ups and downs early in the season. That’ll be a matchup the Giants could look to exploit.

With a six-point lead in tact and just 2:23 remaining in the fourth quarter, Daniel Jones pitched the ball to Devin Singletary, who ran for about eight yards before meeting a gaggle of Browns players.
It looked like a surefire tackle opportunity for the three defenders. All three missed their chance.

“I wouldn’t say it’s bad luck,” Singletary said. “Definitely something I have to correct. Shoot, when I’m running, I have to cover it up in traffic with two hands. I’ve been doing a lot of drill work. Teammates have been helping me out, trying to do punch-outs and stuff even though we are doing walk-throughs. I have to clean that up because we can’t be turning the ball over.”
5 things to watch as Giants face Cowboys in Week 4 of 2024 NFL season | SNY.tv
Can Kayvon Thibodeaux get going? The Giants have amassed 14 sacks already this season, but Thibodeaux has just a half-sack to his name so far. In fact, he has just 1.5 sacks in his last nine games dating back to last season. Prior to that, he had registered 10.5 sacks in the first 11 games of the 2023 season.
Thibodeaux has at least been playing hard and came up big on a short-yardage stop in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game. New York will be hoping for him to start making more of an impact off the edge, though.

The one noticeable spot where Jones hasn’t quite looked the same has been with his accuracy, which could be a result of not feeling fully confident in his plant leg. It was evident during training camp and has stretched into the season. Jones’ off-target rate on passes was 15.5% over his first five years in the NFL. It’s at 20.4% this season.

“I expect a lot out of myself, more than anyone could put on me,” Lamb said. “And quite honestly, I failed myself, and obviously I failed the team, just as far as producing and being that game-breaker. . . . I kind of let the game get to my head a little bit. Honestly, I’ve got to be truthful to myself, and I played a part in that loss, a big part, honestly, and [neither] my body language nor attitude, [helped change] the outcome of the game.”

While the running backs have received plenty of blame, the offensive line has done exceedingly little to open running lanes. Both Rico Dowdle and Ezekiel Elliott are in the top 15 of all running backs in least time spent behind the line of scrimmage – in other words, they aren’t dancing around in the backfield – yet the team is 31st in rushing yards over expected. And despite facing a light box on 48.4% of all runs (12th highest in the NFL) the Cowboys are getting stuffed at the second-highest rate of any offense.
Cowboys will play short-week road game for the first time ever | Pro Football Talk
The Week 4 game at New York will be the first time the Cowboys play a road game with only three days between games. Every other NFL team has done it at least six times. The reason is simple. The Cowboys have hosted one of the Thanksgiving games for decades.
