Thursday news and updates.
The Philadelphia Eagles issued their second official injury report on Thursday in advance of their Week 4 road game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Three players DID NOT PARTICIPATE: A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Lane Johnson.
It sure seems like Brown and Smith are on track to miss Sunday’s game. This reality plus Britain Covey being placed on injured reserve means the Eagles will be without three of their top four wide receivers. Kellen Moore is being tasked to figure out a way to work around these key losses. One would think Brown and Smith will be ready to play again after the Eagles’ Week 5 bye.
Johnson warmed up with the team but did not actually participate. It seems like he might be able to be cleared in time for Sunday’s game but it’s not a given. Fred Johnson is expected to start at right tackle if Lane can’t play.
One player was listed under LIMITED PARTICIPATION: Milton Williams.
Williams is listed with a groin designation. Eagles fans will hope this isn’t one of the all too common out of nowhere practice injuries that have annoyingly plagued the team this year. Williams is an important player in the defensive line rotation and saw more time on the edge at Bryce Huff’s expense in Week 3. Williams’ status on Friday’s final injury report bears monitoring.
Three players were listed under FULL PARTICIPATION: Mekhi Becton, Landon Dickerson, and Darius Slay.
Becton and Dickerson were upgraded to full go after being listed as limited on Wednesday.
Slay is on track to start in Week 4 after leaving the Saints game early.

TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS INJURY REPORT (THURSDAY)
Changes from the Bucs’ Wednesday injury report:
- Starting center Graham Barton and starting right tackle Luke Goedeke were upgraded from limited to full. They’re on track to play.
- Starting defensive lineman Logan Hall was also upgraded from limited to full.
- Leading rusher Bucky Irving was downgraded from limited to DNP. Doesn’t seem like a good development for his playing chances.
- Depth wide receiver Kameron Johnson was upgraded from DNP to limited.
- Greg Gaines, who’s been starting at nose tackle in place of an injured Vita Vea, was added to the injury report with an ankle issue. He was limited.
It looks like the Bucs could be without All-Pro safety Antoine Winfield Jr. and starting defensive lineman Calijah Kancey. Two big absences for their defense.
A number of key Bucs starters were still limited. We’ll learn more about their playing chances on Friday.
