Nick McCloud will be back, but Giants will be short-handed at cornerback
The New York Giants’ cornerback woes will be exacerbated by injuries on Thursday night against the Dallas Cowboys as slot cornerback Dru Phillips and veteran outside cornerback Adoree’ Jackson will both miss the game with calf injuries.
Both players were hurt on Sunday against the Cleveland Browns.
Wide receiver Darius Slayton (thumb) is listed as questionable. If Slayton is limited or can’t play, that would provide an opportunity for Jalin Hyatt.
The good news for the Giants is that cornerback Nick McCloud, who missed the last two games with a knee injury, is not on the injury list. That means he will play.
The Giants’ top three cornerbacks on Thursday will be Tae Banks, Cor’Dale Flott, and McCloud. Who aligns in the slot with CeeDee Lamb, the Cowboys’ No. 1 receiver, will be a matchup to watch.
