What do our fans think?
We’ve got the results of our SB Nation Reacts poll for this week, taking the pulse of how fans feel about issues that are important to the Minnesota Vikings. So, let’s take a look at those results here.
Our first question, as always, was how confident everyone is feeling that the Vikings are heading in the right direction. After what most would consider an upset win over San Francisco, that confidence continues to climb.
This week, a full 97% of the respondents to our poll feel that the team is heading in the right direction. I hope that the confidence level remains fairly high even if the team should lose this weekend, but given what we’ve seen from these things in the past a loss will send this number plummeting.
We also asked what everyone thinks the Vikings’ record will be at the bye, which they’ll take in Week 6 after their game in London. People seem to be pretty optimistic on that front as well.
A majority of respondents, 53%, believe that the purple will lose one of their next three games and go into the bye with a 4-1 mark. 30% believe that they’ll drop two out of three (which is bad) to hit the break with a 3-2 mark, while 15% believe that they’ll go into the off week without a loss. Then there’s the 2% who feel the Vikings will be on a three-game skid heading into the bye and get there with a 2-3 record, the worst possible.
Personally, being the homer that I am, I don’t think there’s any reason they can’t get to the bye at 5-0, particularly if Brian Flores’ defense continues at the rate it’s going. But perhaps I’m being overly optimistic. . .people haven’t accused me of that very often. Our friends at FanDuel likely won’t have them favored in any of the next three, but that’s the way we like it, I think.
Those are our SB Nation Reacts results for this week, folks. Thank you to everyone who took the time to participate in our survey, and we’ll be back with a fresh one next week!
