The Eagles offense struggled to do much of anything that wasn’t absolutely infuriating against the Saints, until Saquon Barkley took matters into his own hands and ran through New Orleans defense for the first touchdown of the game — in the fourth quarter.

Barkley has been the one bright spot through three games, especially as the Eagles passing game continues to stall — this is a polite way of saying they look like a dumpster fire. His 65-yard touchdown was enough to give the Eagles their first lead of the game, and give the tiniest bit of hope that all the undisciplined football will at least be masked by a win.
The RB was fired up and was able to leap into the crowd at the Superdome and into the arms of Eagles fans who made the trip. There was exactly one thing to celebrate in this stupid Week 3 game, and it’s nice that Barkley was able to enjoy it among some Philly fans.
