Which bets do you like the most?
Before the third Sunday of the 2024 NFL regular season kicks off, let’s have some fun by taking a look at the lines for the Week 3 games.
You can CLICK HERE for straight up NFL picks without regard to the spread. You can find all of the NFL betting lines via FanDuel.
My overall record is 15-17, which is behind the collective BGN community at 19-13. I’m not off to a great start.
Here are suggestions when trying to beat the odds.
NEW YORK GIANTS at CLEVELAND BROWNS (-6.5): The Giants stink but Deshaun Watson is also very bad. The Browns will win in ugly fashion. PICK: Giants +6.5
CHICAGO BEARS at INDIANAPOLIS COLTS (-1.5): The Colts aren’t 0-3 bad. They’re due for a win. PICK: Colts -1.5
HOUSTON TEXANS (-1.5) at MINNESOTA VIKINGS: The Texans have so many weapons. Also, Sam Darnold can’t keep this up … right? PICK: Texans -1.5
PHILADELPHIA EAGLES at NEW ORLEANS SAINTS (-2.5): This line is suspicious in the Eagles’ favor. Why aren’t the Saints favored by more when Philly’s defense can’t either stop the run or rush the passer? I’d stay away from this line. But since I have to make a pick, I’m going with the team that’s looked virtually unstoppable through their first two games. PICK: Saints -2.5
LOS ANGELES CHARGERS at PITTSBURGH STEELERS (-3): Fading Justin Fields hasn’t been working out for me this season but I will go down with this ship. And I won’t put up my hands and surrender. There will be no white flag above my door. PICK: Chargers +3
DENVER BRONCOS at TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS (-6.5): Baker Mayfield and the Bucs have been cooking. The Broncos very much have not been doing that. Watch Tampa end up winning by just six points due to some Denver garbage time scoring. PICK: Buccaneers -6.5
GREEN BAY PACKERS at TENNESSEE TITANS (-3): The Packers were able to win last week by hiding Malik Willis and running the ball. Tennessee’s defense will provide a tougher challenge. The Titans will get on the board with their first win. PICK: Titans -3
CAROLINA PANTHERS at LAS VEGAS RAIDERS (-5.5): Letdown spot for the Raiders after a big win over Baltimore. Andy Dalton will provide some competency that the Panthers have been lacking with Bryce Young being unplayable. PICK: Panthers +5.5
MIAMI DOLPHINS at SEATTLE SEAHAWKS (-4.5): In the battle of Mike Macdonald vs. Mike McDaniel, the former has the edge. Seattle’s defense will be able to prevent Skylar Thompson from going off. PICK: Seahawks -4.5
DETROIT LIONS (-3) at ARIZONA CARDINALS: The Lions got a bit unlucky in their loss last week. They’re not suddenly a bad team. But the Cards have been frisky and it’s not going to be easy to win in Arizona. The Lions win by two points. PICK: Cardinals +3
BALTIMORE RAVENS (-1.5) at DALLAS COWBOYS: No way the Ravens drop to 0-3, right? They’re not 0-3 bad. The Cowboys, though … they could feasibly drop to 1-2 after getting manhandled last weekend. PICK: Ravens -1.5
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS (-6.5) at LOS ANGELES RAMS: The 49ers are incredibly banged up. But so are the Rams. PICK: 49ers -6.5
KANSAS CITY CHIEFS (-3) at ATLANTA FALCONS: The Falcons aren’t scaring anybody. The Chiefs don’t always win pretty but they do tend to win. PICK: Chiefs -3
JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at BUFFALO BILLS (-5.5): Not uncommon for Doug Pederson teams to show some resilience. Facing an 0-2 hole, the Jags are the more desperate team. They won’t go down without a fight. Plus, defensive Josh Allen seems to own offensive Josh Allen. PICK: Jaguars +5.5
WASHINGTON COMMANDERS at CINCINNATI BENGALS (-7.5): I could see the Bengals coming out and dominating the Commanders. Washington’s defense is leaky and Cincy is frustrated after just missing out on a win in KC last week. PICK: Bengals -7.5
