The Miami Dolphins made a series of roster moves on Saturday.

The Miami Dolphins made a series of roster moves on Saturday, preparing the team for their Week 3 game against the Seattle Seahawks. The move adds depth to the team at key positions where injuries are already taking a toll, especially to the team’s offensive scheme.

Practice squad quarterback Tim Boyle was promoted, signing to the Dolphins’ 53-man roster. He joins Skylar Thompson and Tyler Huntley on the active roster. Starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week after he sustained a concussion against the Buffalo Bills in Week 2. Thompson will assume the starting role for the team, with Huntley and Boyle providing depth. Miami can use the league’s emergency quarterback rule to designate either Huntley or Boyle as inactive for the game but have him dressed in case of an injury to the other two quarterbacks.

Huntley was signed off the Ravens practice squad this week, filling Tagovailoa’s roster spot.

To create roster space for Boyle, Miami placed wide receiver Grant DuBose on injured reserve. Miami claimed DuBose off waivers from the Green Bay Packers at the start of the season. He appeared in both games for the Dolphins, catching one pass for 13 yards.

Miami also announced they were elevating wide receivers Dee Eskridge and Erik Ezukanma from the practice squad for Sunday’s game. Both players will be available for the game-day roster, then revert to the practice squad after the game. Neither player has appeared in a game this year.
