Kicker Matt Gay missed practice today due to a quadriceps injury. Gay had been dealing with a hernia injury during training camp which kept him out of week 1 and now is dealing with a quadriceps injury. Gay has been poor kicking so far this year and it may be due to the injuries.
Defensive end Laiatu Latu missed practice today due to a hip injury. Latu injured his hip in the second half of last Sunday’s game and had to exit the game. Reports today said that Latu did get positive news that it wasn’t a serious hip injury but it would be day to day.
Safety Julian Blackmon returned to practice today after missing all of last weeks practice and Sunday’s game with a shoulder injury. If the Colts can get Blackmon back in the secondary it would be a huge boost to a group that struggles against Packers Malik Willis.
Wide receiver Josh Downs returned to practice today after missing all of last weeks practice and Sunday’s game with an ankle injury. Downs injured his ankle during training camp and had been out since. If the Colts can get Down back in the line up it would be a huge help for Anthony Richardson.
