This evening’s Monday Night Football game features two preseason favorites to be at the top of the conference. While each team has only played in one game thus far, the Philadelphia Eagles looked the part while the jury is still out on the Atlanta Falcons. The Eagles faced down another one of the better teams in the NFC in their game in Brazil in week one. The Eagles returned to the States with a 34-to-29 victory over the Green Bay Packers.
The Falcons did not fair as well as Philly, running up against what might be one of the best defenses in the NFL in the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers were unable to muster a single touchdown in the game but could still pull out the win behind their five field goals and by holding the Falcons to only 10 points. New Starting quarterback Kirk Cousins was underwhelming at best, throwing for only 155 yards on 26 attempts to go along with their single touchdown and his two interceptions, resulting in a woeful 59.0 QB rating.

—My Pick: I expect the Eagles to cover over the Falcons this week. The Eagles looked the part of being one of the better teams in the NFC in their week one victory over the Green Bay Packers, while the Falcons and their new starter, Kirk Cousins, were flat-out underwhelming in week one, leading his team to score only 10 points, on the night. The Falcons will have to put up more than a ten spot to stay in this evening’s contest.
