2024 NFL Week 3: Houston Texans at Minnesota Vikings
A good one at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday
Contributors:
Week 3 in the National Football League brings us what should be a very good game at U.S. Bank Stadium as our Minnesota Vikings play host to the Houston Texans.
Both of these teams come into this one with a record of 2-0, with the Vikings having beaten the New York Giants and San Francisco 49ers to get to that mark, while the Texans have defeated the Indianapolis Colts and our division rivals, the Chicago Bears, in the first two weeks of the season.
If you like revenge games, there will be plenty of that to go around on Sunday as well. Former Vikings Danielle Hunter, Stefon Diggs, Kris Boyd, and Cam Akers will return to U.S. Bank Stadium, and they’ll be greeted by former Texans stars Jonathan Greenard and Blake Cashman.
These two teams also lead the National Football League in sacks, with the Vikings racking up 11 quarterback takedowns in the first two weeks of the year while the Texans have tallied nine, including seven on Sunday Night Football against Chicago.
The Vikings will also be looking to keep their perfect record against the Texans intact. Since the Texans entered the NFL in 2002, they’ve faced off against the Vikings five times and the purple have come out victorious in each one. The Vikings are one of two teams that the Texans have yet to defeat since the NFL returned to Houston, with the other being the Philadelphia Eagles.
Coverage of this one is set to kick off at noon Central time on Sunday afternoon, with coverage being provided by the folks from CBS, which is WCCO-4 on your Twin Cities television dial.
