The good guys have a slim lead early
The first quarter from U.S. Bank Stadium is in the books, and the Minnesota Vikings lead their home opener against the San Francisco 49ers after the first fifteen minutes of play by a score of 3-0.
I’ve got to be honest. . .I had some issues with my internet over here and missed most of the first quarter so I’m getting caught up. I see that there was a blocked punt by C.J. Ham that led to the Vikings’ field goal but other than that I have no idea what happened leading up to that. So here it is!

That led to the first points of the game, a 22-yard field goal from Will Reichard to make it 3-0. When I got my internet back, I saw that the Niners had been pinned deep in their own territory but are currently pushing the ball down the field and are looking at a 2nd-and-10 from their own 48-yard line.
Hopefully the issues I’ve been having have solved themselves here and I can get back into covering the game here.
We’re on to the second quarter at U.S. Bank Stadium with the Minnesota Vikings leading the San Francisco 49ers by a score of 3-0. Come on in and join us for the second quarter of play!
