The Giants receiving corps could be at full strength
The New York Giants got good news after getting a scare Thursday afternoon. Head coach Brian Daboll confirmed Friday morning that rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers is “good” and there are no concerns regarding his availability for Sunday’s game against the Washington Commanders.
Nabers popped up on the injury report Thursday afternoon when he was limited in practice with knee soreness. There was suddenly concern that the Giants could be without their most dangerous weapon in a potentially pivotal game. Fortunately, those concerns were quickly assuaged.
Daboll also confirmed that wide receiver Darius Slayton, who is in the concussion protocol, is “trending in the right direction”. While that isn’t confirmation that he will play Sunday — that’s up to an independent neurologist — it is encouraging.
On other news, starting linebacker Micah McFadden has participated fully in practice and appears on track to play as well.
Washington Commanders cornerback Emmanuel Forbes will be out for the foreseeable future after having surgery to repair a torn ligament in his thumb.
We’ll update with the full injury report when we get it.
