Down a few.
The Cincinnati Bengals wrapped up a week of preparation for Sunday’s clash with the Kansas City Chiefs, and we now have the final injury report.
For the Bengals, it looks like a second straight week without star wide receiver Tee Higgins (doubtful), who is still dealing with a hamstring injury. Higgins worked on the rehab field this week but was never a participant in team practice. While his designation is listed as doubtful, Higgins won’t play Sunday.
Joe Burrow was again on the report with a right wrist injury, but was a full participant all week. Even though Burrow is good to go, the team does have to list him on the report if he was receiving any kind of treatment on his wrist.
Rookie offensive tackle Amarius Mims (doubtful) was limited in practice this week, but his designation would suggest the team wants to give him more time to recover from his pectoral strain suffered in the preseason opener.
Linebacker Logan Wilson is expected to play while battling a knee injury. After missing Wednesday’s practice and being seen in a knee brace, Wilson returned to practice the rest of the week and looks good to go Sunday.
Tight end Tanner Hudson (doubtful) is dealing with a knee injury and is not expected to play despite getting back on the practice field later in the week. This could lead to more opportunities for Erick All Jr. or Mike Gesicki to play more.
Rookie defensive tackle Kris Jenkins (out) also worked on the rehab field this week but is not ready to return from a thumb injury requiring surgery.
Running back Zack Moss (neck) and defensive tackle BJ Hill (knee) both went full to close the week and are expected to be ready to go.
For the Chiefs, Hollywood Brown is going on injured reserve due to his lingering shoulder injury, so he’s out this week. Everyone else is good to go.
