This is not a positive development
The New York Giants on Thursday added star rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers to their injury report. Nabers was listed as a limited participant in Thursday’s practice with a knee injury.
The injury report was as follows:
Did not participate in practice:
CB Nick McCloud (Knee)
LB Darius Muasau (Knee)
WR Gunner Olszewski (Groin)
Limited participation
WR Malik Nabers (Knee)
WR Darius Slayton (Concussion Protocol)

Nabers, the sixth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, had five receptions for a team-leading 66 yards in the Giants’ season-opening 28-6 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Nabers and Slayton, the team’s leading receiver a season ago, being on the injury report is not a positive development as the Giants try to get their offense untracked after being the only team in the NFL not to score in double digits in Week 1.
The Commanders injury report was as follows:
Limited participation
DT Jer’Zhan Newton (Foot)
CB Emmanuel Forbes Jr. (Thumb)
Full participation
S Tyler Owens (Ankle)
T Brandon Coleman (Shoulder)
RB Brian Robinson Jr. (Knee)
T Trent Scott (Knee)
