He’s now under contract through 2026
The 2024 season was supposed to be a contract year for Minnesota Vikings’ defensive lineman Harrison Phillips. It took one game this season for that to not be the case any longer.
The #Vikings are signing veteran DT Harrison Phillips to a two-year contract extension worth up to $19 million with over $13M guaranteed, per sources.

According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Vikings and Phillips agreed to the terms of a two-year contract extension on Tuesday. The deal is worth as much as $19 million over the next two seasons with $13 million in guarantees and puts Phillips in Minnesota through the 2026 season.
Phillips signed a 3-year deal with the Vikings during the 2022 offseason. Prior to that, he had spent four seasons with the Buffalo Bills. As Pelissero’s tweet mentions, Phillips was the Vikings’ nominee for the NFL’s Man of the Year Award this past season, and has established a chapter of his Harrison’s Playmakers charity in Minneapolis to go with the one’s he’s established in Buffalo and his home town of Omaha, Nebraska.
Phillips has been solid for the Vikings in his first two seasons here, and now doesn’t have to worry about his contract for the next couple of seasons. This should help to solidify the Vikings’ defensive front for the foreseeable future as the team continues to build on that side of the football.
