The Rams added Ty Nsekhe to the practice squad and released safety Jason Taylor II
After already adding a center to the 53-man roster on Tuesday by poaching Dylan McMahon from the Eagles, the L.A. Rams weren’t done fortifying the depth of their offensive line following a rash of injuries. The Rams signed tackle Ty Nsekhe to their practice squad on Tuesday, releasing offensive lineman Blake Larson and safety Jason Taylor, one of the team’s seventh round draft picks in 2023.

The 38-year-old Nsekhe made his NFL debut with the Rams in 2012 and has since made 25 career starts for five different teams. His most recent start came in 2022, when he started eight games for the Rams when they were dealing with a season of injuries that feels uncomfortably similar to Week 1.
The Rams played without right tackle Rob Havenstein in Week 1 due to an ankle injury and seem likely to place Steve Avila on IR. Backup left tackle Joe Noteboom was also injured against the Lions, as was right guard Kevin Dotson. Dotson, Havenstein, and Noteboom all have ankle injuries.
It is still possible that when AJ Jackson returns from suspension in Week 3 that the Rams could have four of their first OL starters by then. However, Havenstein and Dotson’s availability isn’t clear for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals.
