Darius Slayton, Gunners Olszewski, Nick McCloud also not practicing
The New York Giants on Wednesday added rookie linebacker Darius Muasau to their injury list. Head coach Brian Daboll said that Muasau, who played 45 snaps in place of Micah McFadden against the Minnesota Vikings, is “day-to-day” with a knee injury.
The other injuries are the same ones we already knew:
- Punt returner Gunner Olszewski (groin) will be out for several weeks. He has not yet been placed on injured reserve.
- Wide receiver Darius Slayton (concussion) will do warmups on the field today, but remains in the concussion protocol and will not practice.
- Cornerback Nick McCloud (knee) is considered day-to-day.
McFadden, who was expected to be starter, was only available for a limited number of snaps against the Vikings. Daboll said Muasau, who ended up with six tackles (one for loss), an interception, and a pass defensed played well enough against Minnesota that the Giants simply left him on the field.
McFadden will handle a full workload in practice on Wednesday.
We will update with official statuses and with the Washington Commanders Wednesday injury report once those are available.
