Wide receiver Josh Downs is listed as OUT for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. Downs has missed practice all week due to an ankle injury he sustained during training camp. Downs has ramped up his rehab this week with Colts beat writers saying just today he was running at full speed and cutting. With Downs out this week expect rookie Adonai Mitchell to get the start in his place.
Kicker Matt Gay is listed as OUT for Sunday’s game against the Houston Texans. Gay has missed practice all week due to a groin injury he sustained during training camp. Gay not managing to practice all week does not bode well for his availability however he is questionable which leaves the door open for him to play Sunday. If Gay can’t play Sunday then expect the Colts to elevate Spencer Shrader from the practice squad to handle the kicking duties.
