A rematch of last season’s AFC Championship game
It’s finally here as the 2024 NFL season begins with a rematch of last season’s AFC Championship game between the Baltimore Ravens and Kansas City Chiefs.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is looking to get some redemption as the Chiefs and Patrick Mahomes begin their quest to do what no team in the history of the league has ever done, win three Super Bowls in a row. Kickoff is set for 5:20 p.m. PT and the game will air on NBC and Peacock.
This is your place to discuss the game with other Las Vegas Raiders fans and any gambling picks you have as the lines below are provided by FanDuel Sportsbook.
Ravens vs. Chiefs
- Spread: KC -3

- BAL ML: +130
Holder’s Picks: BAL +3, Under 47.5, BAL ML
Kansas City will be down wide receiver Marquise Brown and will have to rely on rookie first-round pick Xavier Worthy to be the team’s deep threat. Also, the Chiefs moved on from last year’s top cornerback L’Jarius Sneed in the offseason. To me, that has the makings of a slow start for Mahomes and Co., similar to last year when they dropped the season opener to the Lions. Also, this game features two strong defenses from a year ago which is a big reason why I like the under.
For the injury report, the Chiefs will only be missing Brown (shoulder) while the Ravens are without rookie linebacker Adisa Isaac (hamstring) and fullback Rasheen Ali (neck) is doubtful.
