Giants fans believe the team will be better this year than in most of the last decade
The results are in and New York Giants fans are feeling pretty positive about their team heading into the 2024 regular season.
In our first Giants ‘SB Nation Reacts’ poll of the year, we asked the community how many games you thought the Giants will win this year. With the oddsmakers in Las Vegas setting the over/under for the Giants’ win total at 6.5, an overwhelming majority of Giants fans elected to take the “over”.
A full 64% of the Big Blue View community said that the team would win between 7 and 9 games this year.
Another 27 percent of fans believe the team will come in under 6.5 wins, and win 4, 5, or 6 games this year.
Vegas setting the line at 6.5 wins is an interesting choice, as the team has only cleared the six-win mark once since 2016 (the 2022 season). The majority of fans clearly believe that this team will be the second to top six wins in recent memory.
Only 9% of respondents (combined) believe that the Giants would win fewer than four games in a disaster of a season or shock the world and have double-digit wins.
Given the response to our ‘Reacts’ poll, it shouldn’t be much of a surprise that fans are feeling pretty positive that the team is heading in the right direction.
The Giants will open their season in what is effectively a toss-up with the Minnesota Vikings, where they’ll hope to reward fans’ confidence with a fast start to the season.
